We sure hear a lot about emotional IQ don’t we, and we are told that if we bite our tongue and act polite that we have a better personality displacement that will help us get along in life and go further faster. Now, that is probably true wouldn’t you say; judging from personal experience. However, you are one to be quick to fight or flight, or perhaps notice yourself getting all steamed up over someone who has done you wrong, and you blow your top, does that mean you have a low emotional IQ?

After all, you’ll only make things worse and in doing so, you’ll be hurting yourself as much as the next fellow right? Sure, you’ve probably seen this play out a 1000 times while observing various interpersonal relationships, office spats, or teens in high school getting into a brawl.
